Zogg fire now at 1,000 acres update 5:25pm 9/27

Firefighters are at the scene of a 1,000-acre #ZoggFire in Igo at Zogg Mine Rd x Horse Canyon Way (Shasta Co). Evac Orders for all residents west of Zogg Mine Rd. Mandatory Evacuation Orders (update) all areas south of South Fork Rd & Zogg Mine Rd. South along Gas Point corridor including all residents along Gas Point Rd to Foster Dr.

The Sheriff’s department has issued a mandatory evacuation on all areas off and north of Platina road from Trinity Alps preserve to Platina.

⁦ Road closures at Clear Creek Rd & Cloverdale Rd and Placer Rd & Muletown Rd, as well as Oak St at Cloverdale.

The southern part of Whiskeytown National Recreation Area has closed due to the Zogg fire. Kennedy Memorial Drive is closed at Whiskeytown Dam, and Crystal Creek Road is closed. Day use areas including Whiskeytown Falls, Crystal Creek Falls, Brandy Creek Beach, and Brandy Creek Marina are also closed.

Collection point for evacuees is Holiday Market on Gas Point Road in Cottonwood.
