Dave O’Brien

MON-FRI 10A-3P

I’m husband to Cheryl, father to Ally and personal assistant to Benson, the miniature Schnauzer and Sunflower, the horse! I am a mediocre fisherman, a landlocked SCUBA diver and a radio veteran of over 30 years. I’ve been on the radio from Virginia to California to Indianapolis to Denver and I’m excited to be here on the radio with you!

Dan Mitchell

MON-FRI 3P-8P

I have been blessed with quite an extraordinary journey in radio and for me, it’s always been about the music. My inner musicologist emerged in the mid-sixties. You see several times a week after school, I would hang out at The Eight Ball, that’s the pool hall my dad owned in Denver. I’d hear the latest hits the patrons punched up on the jukebox and the tunes took hold. I was hooked on this “rock” stuff. In the 7th grade I decided that I wanted to be a Disc Jockey. Jump ahead just a few years and in the Summer of 1980, it happened. I got a gig on a small AM station in my hometown of Denver… WOW! What a long, memorable trip it was to spend the next 36 years on the air in my hometown. When I’m not “inside your radio” I’m hanging with my girl Kathy. We’ve been together since 1978. We have a son, a daughter, two granddaughters, and a grandson! For the record let me say… life is good! Whenever you can, tune in for the music we love, and the companion stories to go along with it. It’ll be my pleasure to spend some time with you!.

Dave Doran

MON-FRI 8P-12A

Born and raised in Detroit Rock City! I’ve been in Rock radio since back in the day… ya know when we all had hair? Hung out with Ozzy? Yep. Metallica? Yep. Stevie Ray Vaughan? Yep. Alice Cooper? Yep. Rob Halford? Yep. Robert Plant? Yep. Ted Nugent? Yep. I could go on… it’s just a perk of being a Rock n’ Roll radio dude. I’m married, have 2 dogs, Eddie a Chihuahua (named after Eddie Van Halen) and Penny, a Silky Terrier. I like a good craft beer, a good dirty martini, and a rowdy rock n’ roll show! See you on your radio my friends!

Chaz Mixon

MON-FRI 12A-6A

A 35 year and counting radio vet, Chaz has been there, done that on many different radio formats. After college, he landed at the legendary KZEW working in research, promotions, on-air and music programming. Chaz did a long stint in network radio where he could be heard in all four corners of the states. Chaz has two boys in their 20’s and he likes playing guitar, watching sports and movies and enjoying the outdoors as often as possible.

Vianna

Station Brand Voice

Growing up listening to Tim Buc Moore as a local Radio God, Vianna graduated from Pleasant Valley High School and Chico State with a BA in Music Industry and Keyboard Performance. Recently returning from years living abroad in the UK, she wrapped up a variety of musical experiences including being a classical music booker in London, DJing in Belfast, starting a weekly 50s style Rock-n-Roll Club to playing with 3 retired British blokes in a local regional covers band in the South West of England. Throw in a stint working with Festival VIPS at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and teaching English to Russian teenagers in Siberia through the wise words of the Beastie Boys, she is glad to be back where classic British rock from the 70s sound almost better than back in good old Blighty.

When not at the radio station, teaching piano or supporting the local arts as a City of Chico Arts Commissioner, Vianna serves on the Pleasant Valley High School Foundation giving back to her alma mater, plays keys in the local band Black Fong and is desperately trying to train up her new puppy.
